[ARCHIVED] City Beach Swimming Area Closed

To All Swim Lesson Participants:

As you may already know the water quality at City Beach is tested weekly. This week the test showed that the ecoli levels are slightly elevated. Occasionally this will happen when the weather has been hot and attendance is high at the beach. We are testing the water daily now and anticipate it will go back to normal within the next few days. Our primary concern is the health and safety of all participants using our facility so we will be closed until further notice.

Evening lessons for Wednesday August 9 and ALL lessons (morning and evening) on Thursday, August 10 will be held at Bender Beach which has also been tested and ecoli levels are not elevated.

Please refer to the City’s website at www.oconomowoc-wi.gov/parks under “News and Announcements” Friday morning for updates on the location/status of Swim lessons for Friday, August 11. Updates will be posted by 9:30am.

We realize this may present some difficulties and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please refer any questions to Oconomowoc Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Department at (262)569-2199.
