[ARCHIVED] Red Cross certification classes offered

Red Cross CPR: Ages 12 and up can earn Red Cross CPR certification in a one-day class offered from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Friday Oct. 17. This class prepares you to care for adult, child and infant family members during a medical emergency until advanced personnel can take over.

Red Cross First Aid: This class for ages 12 and up is offered from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 for ages 12 and up. The class prepares you to care for an infant, child and adult during a medical emergency. It teaches students to recognize a variety of first aid emergencies such as cuts, scrapes, burns sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries and heat and cold emergencies.

Red Cross Babysitting: This course provides youth ages 11-15 with the knowledge and skills to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. The course helps participants develop leadership skills, safety skills and offers guidance on children's behavior. Participants also learn about basic child care and first aid. The class is offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24.
