Assessment & Property Tax Information
The assessor is responsible for the valuation of all real and personal property located within the City of Oconomowoc for property tax purposes. It is our responsibility to provide fair and uniform assessments throughout the city. Assessment procedures are governed by Chapter 70 of the Wisconsin Statutes and the Wisconsin Property Assessment Manual. The city contracts with Grota Appraisals for assessment services.
Property tax bills are mailed annually in mid December following the annual budget process. Real estate property taxes can be paid in three installments due January 31, April 30, and July 31 of each year. Personal property taxes must be paid in full by January 31 of each year.
Assessment Information
Open book for 2019 is scheduled for July 10th from 9:00 am - 11:00 am in the Council Chambers.
The 2019 Board of Review is August 8th at 8:15 am in the Council Chambers. Please contact the City Clerks office for an appointment.

Property Tax Information
The City of Oconomowoc Treasurer’s office is open for tax collection from 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday (closed Holidays listed on the right column). The Treasurer’s office is located on the 1st floor of City Hall, 174 E Wisconsin Ave. City Hall. If a taxpayer prefers to make payment outside regular business hours we encourage the use of our online payment methods (Note: a convenience fee applies) or the 24-hour drop-box available on the east wall of City Hall.
