Responsibilities & Services
The Public Works and Engineering Department provides many of the essential services that affect the daily lives of everyone who lives and works in Oconomowoc.

Primarily, the department is responsible for many of the things we take for granted on a daily basis: the administration, planning, maintenance, construction management, technical engineering of the city's storm sewer infrastructure, and street / road right of way maintenance along with:

• Building inspection / permits
• City parking lots
• Dams, bridges, and lakes
• GIS mapping
• Parcel Files
• Public Works permits
• Refuse and recycling
• Snow plowing, removal, and sanding
• Stormwater
• Street and traffic signs
