Building Permits & Inspections
The Building Permits and Inspection Division is responsible for enhancing public safety by enforcing construction codes. Our expert staff enforces the construction codes, which include the Wisconsin Enrolled Commercial Building Code and Wisconsin UDC while efficiently processing the building permits, occupancy permits, and performing inspections along with commercial permitting to support development in the community.

Our concerns are with the life safety issues that present themselves during the various construction activities that take place in the homes and businesses of Oconomowoc. The Wisconsin Department of Safety & Professional Services protects it citizens by adopting and implementing various building codes, which is applied through the city’s building inspector.
