Based on the classic story by Washington Irving with music and lyrics by Paul Deiss, this classic American tale tells the story of Tarry Town, a place where strange things happen and the townsfolk seem entranced by spirits. The production will be brought to life by the Virginia Rep “On Tour” troupe. Since 1975, Virginia Rep has created exciting and innovative theatrical touring productions geared for young audiences.
True to the original story, Ichabod Crane, Brom Bones, the lovely Katrina Van Tassel and the chilling Headless Horseman will enlighten the audience with musical duets and solos, dancing, authentic costuming and a set with extraordinary lighting techniques and props.

The Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra Organization presents David Katz in the acclaimed one-man play written by Charles Nelson Reilly, “Muse of Fire." Founder of the American Prize Awards, actor, playwright and professional conductor, Katz shares the passion and transformation that takes place in musical learning with a great Maestro.
During the event the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra Organization will also launch “The Chatfield Award,” a new annual recognition for those who have been integral in the arts in the Oconomowoc area. Frank S. Chatfield was a luthier who resided in Oconomowoc. He made and donated a matched quartet of stringed instruments and a hand-carved rosewood case to the Oconomowoc School System in 1937. The instruments are now being restored as part of the Chatfield Project.
This year’s honoree is Tom Snyder, who will be recognized in memoriam for his support and vision for nonprofit organizations including the OAC and Chamber Orchestra.
